The UT Permian Basin web communications team are responsible for maintaining the University’s website, ensuring that all UTPB webpages comply with university editorial and graphic standards. It is imperative that all university webpages are accurate, consistent and serve students. To achieve this accuracy and consistency, the Communications and Marketing team have implemented the following policies and procedures that must be followed by all university stakeholders:  

Website Communications

  • Every university department or office must designate an employee(s) to ensure their pages are properly and routinely assessed and updated.
  • The Web Content Manager may edit or remove any departmental content posted to the university website that is misspelled, inaccurate, outdated, contains sensitive student information, or violates university policy.
  • Each webpage owner must develop and follow a maintenance schedule to periodically update sites and check links.
  • Web pages must have current accurate information, have grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. Web pages should be maintained in a timely manner.
  • The Web Communications team is responsible for maintaining the UT Permian Basin homepage, so any requests or corrections to that site must be emailed to webhelp@utpb.edu.
