PSP Scholarships

Growing the next generation

Interested in Nursing or Pre-Health?

It’s no secret that medical school is expensive. UT Permian Basin wants to help take your undergraduate costs off your plate! In partnership with the Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP), UTPB is able to cover tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduates majoring in Nursing, Pre-Med, Pre-Dental, and Pre-Pharmacy through a competitive, renewable four-year scholarship. Funding is awarded through a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds to qualifying students.

PSP Scholarship candidates:

  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Must be a permanent resident of the Permian Basin*
  • Must be admitted to UT Permian Basin
    • For Nursing, must also be an incoming student to the School of Nursing
    • For Pre-Health, must be a declared pre-health major
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher each semester

Our goal is to grow the next generation of healthcare providers in the Permian Basin. We want to support our hospitals and clinics by training talented, experienced, and motivated professionals ready to serve our community. To further support our hospitals and clinics, scholarship recipients must agree to work three years after graduation in their health-related field for an employer in the Permian Basin.

The PSP Scholarship application window for the 2022-2023 academic year has closed. The application process will open at a later date for the 2023-2024 academic year.

You can afford UTPB!

UT Permian Basin has many opportunities for you to earn your degree with little (or no) debt!
