Pre-Pharmacy

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Chemistry - Pre-Pharmacy Track

As you plan your path to becoming a pharmacist, you’ll want a program that prepares you for pharmacy school. The pre-pharmacy track is shown in the 2-year and 3-year time frames where certain requirements must be achieved to gain early acceptance into the Pharmacy programs at other institutions.

What can I do with a Pre-Pharmacy degree?

Although you may be required to complete a doctorate degree before you start working as a pharmacist, biochemist or biophysicist, a pre-pharmacy or biology bachelor’s degree qualifies you for several pharmacy and biology-related jobs. Some of the jobs give you firsthand experience helping to diagnose and treat diseases and illnesses in children, adults, and animals. In addition, the sooner you start working in your field the better chance you may have of getting promoted after you complete graduate-level degrees.
