Earn Your Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biology in Just 5 Years

UT Permian Basin’s Accelerated Master’s Program in Biology is designed for high-achieving undergraduates majoring in Biology or Chemistry (Biochemistry Track). This fast-track option allows students to complete both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biology in just five years. As part of the program, students will gain hands-on experience by conducting original research and completing a master’s thesis.

Eligibility Requirements

Enrollment in a UTPB undergraduate biology or chemistry (biochemistry track) program
Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and 3.25 in undergraduate major
30 or fewer credits remaining to earn your bachelor’s degree
Faculty approval from the respective department (Biology or Chemistry)
No GRE required for AMP students
