Minor in Geology
The Minor in Geology is well suited for students whose primary pursuit is in a field that can be augmented by knowledge of geological concepts. Such majors include but are not limited to anthropology, architecture, business, environmental law, geography, leisure, political science, journalism, and many scientific fields.
Minor Requirements
A minor in geology requires introductory courses in Physical and Historical Geology with labs and 10 additional upper level credits in geology.
- Students are required to complete 18 semester credit hours to earn a minor in Geology.
- Required courses include: GEOL 1301, GEOL 1101, GEOL 1302, GEOL 1102.
- Students must complete 10 semester credit hours of upper level courses.
