Minor in History
The History Minor is designed to enable students who are passionate about history, but unable to commit to a full history major. The minor allows interested students to more formally engage with the subject and the department and to enhance their major program.
A History Minor is an excellent complement for almost any major and can help provide context to other disciplines.
Minor Requirements
- A Minor in History consists of 18 semester credit hours, 9 of which must be at the upper level. Students declaring history as a second teaching field must fulfill all requirements for the major in history.
- Students are required to complete HIST 1301, HIST 1302 and one 2000 level non-US (world) History course. Students must complete 9 hours of any upper-level History courses.
