Bachelor of Music (BM)
The Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree develops the skills, concepts, and artistic sensitivities essential to several music specializations. Music students will foster an appreciation of the relationship between music and other fields and disciplines. The major also helps prepare students for advanced graduate coursework.
Careers for Bachelor of Music Majors:
You can do a lot with a music degree. Our students are well prepared for job opportunities, including:

Degree Requirements
- The minimum total credits for a B.M. in Music is 127.
- At least 30 semester credit hours must be taken at UT Permian Basin.
- All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.
Bachelor of Music in Music Requirements
- Students must complete 48 semester credit hours of upper-level music courses.
- A minor is not required for this degree.
