Bachelor of Music Degree

The Bachelor of Music degree prepares students to be highly qualified music educators in the classroom or studio. Students will also be able to pursue careers as performers or continue their studies in education, conducting, performance, and other related fields through graduate courses. Students completing the degree will earn an EC-12 music teaching certificate.

Degree Requirements

  • The minimum total credits for a Bachelor of Music is 127.
  • At least 30 semester credit hours must be taken at UT Permian Basin.
  • All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.
  • Students must complete 48 semester credit hours of upper-level music courses.
  • A minor is not required for this degree.
