Presidential Scholarship

• Highly Competitive (SAT or ACT scores)
• 4-year Scholarship renewable with requirements
• High School Grade Point Average (on an unweighted 4.0 scale) typically placing you in the top 5% of H.S. class
• Resources Limited
• Scholarship Application Required
• Deadline - March 15th

Falcon Elite Scholarship ($4,000 per year) 

• 3.90+ High School Grade Point Average (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
• Must meet standard admission requirements
• No scholarship application required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1. 

Falcon Excellence Scholarship ($3,000 per year)

• 3.70-3.89 High School Grade Point Average (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
• Must meet standard admission requirements
• No scholarship application required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1. 

Falcon Achievement Scholarship ($2,000 per year)

• 3.35-3.69 High School Grade Point Average (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
• Must meet standard admission requirements
• No scholarship application required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1. 

Falcon Recognition Scholarship ($1,000 per year)

• 3.00-3.34 High School Grade Point Average (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
• Must meet standard admission requirements
• No scholarship application required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1. 

Eligibility Requirements

Each UTPB student applicant is automatically considered for all scholarships, except Presidential. No application is required for Falcon Elite, Falcon Excellence, Falcon Achievement, and Falcon Recognition.

To be awarded any of these scholarships, you must:

• Be admitted as a First-Time Freshman
• Enroll at least full-time each fall and spring semester (12 sch)
• Maintain at least a 2.50 GPA while enrolled at UTPB

These scholarships are renewable up to 4 years.

**These scholarships are for full-time, first-time undergraduate degree seeking students taking face-to-face courses towards a degree. Students seeking a second bachelor’s degree or pursuing online degrees are not eligible to receive these scholarships.  The Academic Scholarships are not refundable and are applied towards tuition and fees. Donor scholarships and outside scholarships offers can be stacked/included (if allowed by that particular scholarship).

Transfer Elite Scholarship ($2500 /year)

• Meet regular admission requirements as a transfer student
• 24 hours or more of transferable college work with a 3.5 or better cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
• Renewable scholarship with requirements
• No Scholarship Application Required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1.

Transfer Excellence Scholarship ($1750 /year)

• Meet regular admission requirements as a transfer student
• 24 hours or more of transferable course work with a 3.00 to 3.49 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
• Renewable scholarship with requirements
• No Scholarship Application Required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1.

Transfer Recognition Scholarship ($1000 /year)

• Meet regular admission requirements as a transfer student
• 24 hours or more of transferable course work with a 2.5 to 2.99 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
• Renewable scholarship with requirements
• No Scholarship Application Required
• The University will stop awarding as scholarship funds are exhausted. Merit scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis as students are admitted and must be accepted by July 1.
