Outside of local performances, the UTPB Mariachi recently embarked on a transformative tour of Mexico City, a journey that enriched our students' understanding of Mariachi music's roots and traditions.
At UTPB, all can join the Mariachi. It's open to both university students and community members. They must share a love for Mariachi music and a desire to add to its vibrant legacy.

Performances
One highlight of our calendar is the celebrated Día de los Muertos performance. It is a meaningful event that strongly resonates with the local community. This cultural extravaganza not only showcases our musicians' skill but also fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of Mexican traditions and music.

Scholarships
UTPB offers a participation scholarship for eligible students. In order to receive a scholarship, students must audition for the ensemble and attend required course, practices, and performances.
