Minor in Art History

Art History Minor Requirements
To earn a Minor in Art History at UT Permian Basin, students must complete 18 semester credit hours distributed across the following areas:
Lower-Level Courses (6 credit hours)
ARTS 1303 – Art History Survey I (3 credit hours)ARTS 1304 – Art History Survey II (3 credit hours)
Upper-Level Courses (12 credit hours)
Two courses focusing on art before the 20th century (6 credit hours):ARTS 3301 – Women Artists I (3 credit hours)
ARTS 3303 – American Art I (3 credit hours)
ARTS 4304 – Arts of the 19th Century (3 credit hours)
ARTS 4305 – History of Renaissance Art (3 credit hours)
Two courses focusing on art from the 20th and 21st centuries (6 credit hours):
ARTS 3302 – Women Artists II (3 credit hours)
ARTS 3305 – Modern Hispanic Art and Its Foundations (3 credit hours)
ARTS 4300 – Concepts in Modern Art (3 credit hours)
ARTS 4301 – Art Since 1940 (3 credit hours)
