
Graphic Design Degree
Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art, Graphic Design
UT Permian Basin students working towards a B.A. in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design will incorporate aspects of traditional art instruction and principles with marketing and business. This program is designed for students looking to use their talents to create digital and print across industries. Students in this program will hone skills in illustration, drawing, and typography while learning and using the latest graphics software and tools.

Degree Requirements
- The B.A. in Art—Graphic Design requires a minimum of 120 total credits.
- At least 30 semester credit hours must be taken at UT Permian Basin.
- All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.
Bachelor of Arts in Art—Graphic Design Requirements
- Students must complete 48 semester credit hours of upper-level courses to earn a B.A. in Art—Graphic Design degree.
- All art majors are required to meet the visual arts core prior to taking upper level courses.
- Students must complete an internship in graphic design prior to graduation.
- Students are required to elect a minor in one of the following disciplines: marketing, communications, or computer science.
